Mission Impossible : Fallout (2018)
Trailer review

The first reason you should watchout the trailer of Mission ‘Impossible
: fallout’ is for Henry Cavill’s whiskers. Never has a patch of hair on the
upper lip’s been more become on him than in the recent times. There are legends
of moustaches like Sam Elliott and Tom Selleck. Though it might be too early to
compare Cavill in the same elite bracket as them, one couldn’t overlook his
dynamic magnetism in flashes where he is hand-battling Tom Cruise (probably). Superman’s
franchise probably (for me) didn’t add much to his acting repertoire despite
his phenomenal presence in the mediocre ‘the man from UNCLE’. I hope he finds
his groove playing, as it looks, baddie in this installment of Mission
Impossible.
The plot of the movie and its title
suggest some sinister ongoings in Ethan’s agency, which puts the hero in
precarious judicial positions. But what good is a hero if he doesn’t climb from
nadirs of situations. Known for its extraordinary stunts and globe-trotting missions,
MI’s latest franchise in its trailer looks promising in its vibrant visuals. Adding
to the roll-call answering cast of Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Michelle Monaghan,
and new additions like Alec Baldwin, there are new exciting faces like Crown’s
Vanessa Kirby and Rebecca Ferguson. The trailer’s prime appeal is its
heart-thumping and exciting score. Though its central theme is the same, it has
the newest bottle for its oldest wine. Tom Cruise doesn’t seem to look he had
lost any of his verve while performing stunts with age-defying ease. The montage
of the trailer had much of the cliffhanger moments like collisions (of bikes
and cars), dropping off from hanging ropes attached to ascending helicopters
and stop-clips of truck on askew-truck smashes. This movie is definitely on my
list of this year’s blockbuster summer releases, for many reasons.
